Gorion Moonspeaker

Gorion was found in the woods outside Edgewood when he was just a small child by Rhawon Dawnstar, an elderly Wood Elf. He took the child home to his wife, Merilith. Their child, Urdil, was killed fighting against orcs several years ago, and Merilith was now barren. They adopted and named Gorion, which means “wolf son,” as he showed some very animalistic features. As a child, Gorion preferred going out into the woods, to going to school, even though his adoptive parents urged him to be cautious. He made friends with the local wildlife, often bringing home injured birds or squirrels to heal up. Ruther Umbarinque, a local druid, caught wind of Gorion’s behavior, and talked to his parents about taking him on as a student. They were wary, but when Gorion was asked, he eagerly accepted. He saw this as a way to get in touch with his past, and to find out where he came from.
Tutelage under Ruther, however, was not everything that Gorion had hoped for. Ruther did not care about helping others and more about living “in tune” with nature. Gorion still adopted some of Ruther’s ways, at least those that made sense to him. He surrendered most metal objects in favor of the powers that his connection to nature gave him. By the time that Gorion had reached adolescence, he had decided to leave Ruther’s care and ventured forth to lead the life of a solitary adventurer and try and find an answer to who he really was.
Gorion returned to Edgewood after a few years and opened up a small shop on the edge of town, offering small magical services as well as potions. Though he seems to be happy enough, he often finds himself daydreaming of adventuring again, and thinking about the mystery of where he came from.
